"Night of the Pale"

For those craving a classic D&D-esque fantasy experience, may we present a fantasy tale in the Pathfinder setting of Golarion. Play a mercenary of the Rising Phoenix Adventuring Company in the great fantasy metropolis of Absalom City, and take on this month's mission for glory, honor, or maybe just some coin.

Not all holidays on Golarion are warm and pleasant. On the Night of the Pale, the last night of the year, it is said the spirits of the recently departed from over the year come to visit their homes. Not for solace and reunion, but for unfinished business, revenge, jealous remnants. Great feasts are held not only to help make light of the fear in one's heart, but to toast the dead in hopes it placates them. Then, after windows are salted, trinkets are left, and people are cozy in their beds hiding from the terrors, the next morning is the new year. A fresh start.

You should be warm and cozy in your bed, hiding from your own personal terrors come to poke and prod. But it seems the coin of scared nobles is enough to bring you out into the streets on this fateful night. Lady Amroh Lur has her own personal demons she worries may haunt her, and is doling out ample coin to any willing to brave her manor's halls and the streets around to protect her from the consequences of her actions.
