Climb the frozen mountains, into the great peaks, through the endless snow, and delve the ruins that await you there. What mysteries await? Who's to know?
The Arctic Ruin is a crisp, refreshing, green tea masala chai with citrus and mint. Green masala chais, a Kashmiri style, in general have cooler, lighter spices (less cinnamon/ginger, no clove, added peppermint, lemongrass, anise, etc.), and this one carries that vibe with the added crispness of peppermint, spearmint, and a blend of citruses including key limes, bergamot oranges, and mandarin oranges. The result is a smooth, light, floral/fruity/minty flavor that comes out good iced, hot, or anything, but does enjoy a bit of sugar. We recommend a milk alternative, like oat or soy, as dairy will overwhelm the green tea.
Arctic Ruin — Citrus Mint Green Tea Masala Chai
- Use 20g (≈3 tbsp) of leaf per ½ liter (≈17 oz).
- Steep 7+ minutes in a mix of ¼ liter (≈8 oz) 75°C/175°F water and ¼ liter (≈8 oz) hot milk (we recommend a milk alternative, particularly oat, as dairy can be too heavy and overwhelm the flavor)
- Strain leaves, add sugar if you like (1 tsp usually does it for this one), and enjoy!
