A sight of terror for any on the high seas is a vicious whirlpool in their path. None so terrifying than the living whirlpool of the Strait of Messina, Charybdis. First appearing in The Odyssey, our hero Odysseus narrowly avoided this sea-dwelling beast, supposed to swallow huge amounts of water to suck up her prey, creating the maelstroms ships would struggle to avoid.

This herbal tisane feels decidedly reminiscent of such a monstrosity. Chopped ginger and peppermint wrap around a butterfly pea petal base to create a blend the color of rough ocean waters and the flavor of a storm in your mouth. It goes in relatively smooth with complex popping flavors, then grabs your tongue on the way down with a powerful aftertaste. This one is perfect for any who crave potent, intense flavors, but either can't take or don't desire the caffeine. Don't mistake the lack of caffeine for relaxation, though; the Fury of Charybdis won't put you to sleep by any means.
